18 - 20 March 2011 - Nelson
Hosted by Nelson Musical Theatre

We are at the Grand Mercure Nelson Monaco http://www.monacoresort.co.nz/ - it’s just amazing – a wonderful venue and our Saturday night function will be at the WOW Museum – a great combo of classic cars and classic wearable arts – http://www.wowcars.co.nz/index.html  It is an amazing venue.

There is also a fantastic spot across the road, a real English pub (Ross and I know this because we went there) The Honest Lawyer, which has great pub food and atmosphere and we can also use their function rooms for breakout and alternative accommodation http://www.honestlawyer.co.nz/

And the best part, everything is within five minutes including the airport – so a great spot and Nelson of course is NZ’s sunniest spot (yes I can hear the BOP possums disputing it now).  So start saving your pennies, Air NZ will open up their on line bookings for March 2011 from 1 April, so no excuses. It will be a fantastic conference for sure.

Friday Night:

A “Medieval English Village” Theme –
Village idiot; town crier, serf, revolting peasants, moo moo dibb dibb masons, Vikings doing their thing (although this might be slightly earlier historically, but thought I would mention it); various clergy, Robin Hood and his assorted cohorts (Kevin Costner look alike??), innkeepers, Lord/Lady of the manor - spring to mind

Saturday Night:
Dinner at the WOW Museum amongst the classic cars and
Wearable Art Winners

Theme – Wearable Art – so anything goes
(but please be clothed – I have already had someone mention
“being rolled in grass clippings only”
J)

Conference Packs will be available early October -
numbers are limited at these venues to 180/200 max, so you will need to register early to avoid missing out

So start saving your pennies and book those dates in your diary now.  And conference 2012 will be held in the River City of Wanganui.
