Second New Plymouth Operatic Miss Saigon
The high gloss cover sets the tone for a quality
programme. I was impressed with the design and layout of the
pictures of the production crew and cast and once again the quality
of the photos. A small suggestion when setting the Bios for the
cast keep the type sizes all the same on each page.
First
Abbey Musical Theatre Miss Saigon
The look and feel of this programme says quality.
The matt laminate with the die cut showing the helicopter is a
clever touch. The montage of pictures gives a feel of the show we
are going to enjoy and the typesetting is clean and easily read even
in subdued lighting. Photos of the cast are high quality and well
laid out. Overall an excellent production.
New
Plymouth Operatic Multi B Award Presenter Kevin Landrigan,
President, New Plymouth Operatic
Third South Canterbury Drama League Brassed Off
The black and dirty colours on this cover wreak of a
coal mine and the design inside compliments this. The centre foldout
works well. Clear and easy to read.
Second
Dunedin Operatic Society the Producers
There has been much thought gone into the design of
the inside pages with complements the gloss cover. Once again the
layout is clean and easy to read.
First
Blenheim Musical Theatre Blood Brothers
A cover with a striking picture sets the tone for
this programme. The layout is clear and easily readable. Duotones
for the cast pictures is a novel approach.

Third Theatre Whakatane The Sound Of Music
The tall narrow format works well in this example of
a well designed and functional programme.
Second
Levin Performing Arts The Full Monty
The used of the yellow background design that
increases in size through the programme is effective and the type is
also easy on the eye.
First
Variety Theatre Ashburton Les Miserables
The design and clean lines follow through this
programme with the pictures clear and the duotones reflective of the
background used.

Frank Terry Memorial Single Sheet Award Presenter: John MacGibbon,

Second Fine Thyme Theatre Company Cromwell Grease is the word
The shocking pink
cover in the shape of a record themes this as a fun sing along
musical. Having the fold in the middle is an effective design
component. Type is easy to read.
First
Dunedin Operatic Lights on Broadway
Although this is a
single sheet programme the three-panel sheet gives plenty of scope
for design and they have made good use of this space.

Jack Roderick Multi D Award Presenter: Ray Spence, Life Member and

Citation Ngaire Holmes, current Zone Two Rep
Second
South Otago Theatrical Society Dads Army
The bold colours on the front direct you to open the
cover to reveal a well designed black and white inside with the
pictures in black. Clear type and easy to read.
First
Variety Theatre Ashburton Allo Allo
I like the clever design of the eye on the front and
also the use of the black insert that blends with the black on the
inside of the cover. The notice board re mobile phones is an
excellent design feature.
