MTNZ Society Survey 2008

Memo to all MTNZ Society Members

Please find attached a survey we want to conduct with the assistance of our society members. Your national body needs this information as a resource for statistics as we are intending to apply for sponsorship and grants because we are, in this current climate, very reluctant to put subscriptions up, so are looking to obtain income from other sources.  We would also like to advise the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage, Creative NZ and being an election year, New Zealand’s politicians of how strong our organisation is across the country!!!

If we do not get all our societies responding, we will not get a clear and accurate assessment of musical theatre in New Zealand and we need this information to help us, help you.    Please fill in the form and return to Kate Ghent, Administrator by 31 July.  All return surveys go into a draw for one free conference registration for next year.  Please base your information on your last full financial year.  The information you will give us will remain completely confidential and only Kate will sight the actual data, as it will be presented to the Executive and used for funding and sponsorship applications, in a board and generalised format.

Lesley Reid, zone three representative and Lawrie Johnson, zone two representative, will be discussing the survey at their July meetings and Delwyn Smith, zone one, has already talked about it with at her recent zone meeting. We haven’t conducted a survey since 2004 and we need this information as soon as possible so we can start looking at other avenues of income other than our subscriptions. We look forward too and would really appreciate your full co-operation and thank you in advance.
