The New Zealand Singing School Trust has refurbished its website and enrolments are now available on line for the 25th School which will be held from  5 to 15 January in Hawke’s Bay. The School will provide tuition for students to improve performance ability in opera, oratorio, lieder, musical theatre, popular, jazz, contemporary song and stage craft.  Tutors in the Musical Theatre classes will include Richard Marrett (Christchurch) and Irene Bartlett( Australia)  See www.singingschool.org.nz

Director and Tutors sought for 7th CCMT - Emerging Talent School January 2011 Summer Opportunity
The annual CCMT Emerging Talent School is designed for students ten years through to adult who have already begun to develop their skills in drama, dance or voice. CCMT is a not for profit incorporated society formed specifically to develop and extend this aspiring theatrical talent. The intensive two week Summer School includes a full range of specific skill classes, presentations by guest tutors and master classes in the disciplines associated with music theatre. Interested candidates should provide a brief CV outlining theatre, dance or vocal experience and demonstrated ability to coach students of varied ages and abilities. Those interested in the position of Director should outline an innovative proposed programme for the 2011 school, including a theme and selection of performance material for public presentation at the end of the two week course. Take this opportunity to work with other theatre professionals in an enthusiastic collegial environment. Our past tutors have enjoyed the chance to share their knowledge with passionate students, in the company of like-minded experts. – this category was agreed upon at the Executive meeting in Wellington last year. Your membership also helps the national body for musical theatre in New Zealand to keep on supporting and assisting our community theatres.
